Padding right side of sidebar

Dear staff of Themeco,

I’ve some problems resizing the sidebar on my site. I’ve been reading several posts on the forum, but haven’t been able to find a solution to my problem.

I’m working on this site.

I’m trying to make sure there is less padding on the right side of the sidebar. Unfortunately I’ve only been able to change the padding on the left side with CSS. The same code is not working for the right side. I’ve been trying multiple CSS codes I’ve found on the forum, but none of them work.

I’ll add a screenshot of what I’m trying to fix.

I want to create more space for my webshop content. The sidebar has a lot of extra space on the right. I would like it to be the same as the left side (just a small padding around the sidebar). The space that is created by reducing the padding on the right can be used for the webshop content.

I’m not sure how to get this done. I really hope you guys can help me!
Thank you so much in advance.

Best regards,

Anne

Hey Anne,

For that, you need to increase your Site Max Width and Site Width. You can increase the Site Max Width past the limit of the slider control.

Hope that helps.

That was a really quick fix… I’m sorry for not trying that earlier!

Is it possible to center the content of the side bar? Now it is aligned slightly more to the left. I could add more padding to the left, but don’t know if this is responsive or not.

Thank you for your quick response. Great service here at X, love it!

Hi Anne,

You mean center the content within the sidebar background?

I’m sorry but that is not possible as your sidebar is contained in a div.

See screenshot below.

It’s Ethos standard design - http://demo.theme.co/ethos-1/

If you want to get rid of the sidebar background, you can change it under Theme Options > Layout and Design > BACKGROUND OPTIONS > Background Color

Thanks

Thank you for the information and the quick reply. I think I’ll just leave it as it is for now. Maybe I’ll try to use another stack later.

Great service! Thanks
