Other options for styling Ethos

Greetings,

Is there any other way to style ETHOS X theme besides Cornerstone. Cornerstone seems like a powerful tool, however, the learning curve is quite large. Simple tasks that use to take seconds inside WP natively, now take longer to sort out how to do them. When I first purchased X, back in 2019, it was so much quicker to configure, style, add custom coding all within the WP dashboard options. I will use Cornerstone if I have to if that is the only option, but I am wondering if there is another less cumbersome way than switching to Cornerstone Theme options every time.

Hello @PhotographerPC,

Thanks for writing to us.

In case you are looking for custom CSS code I would suggest you go to the Cornerstone—>Theme option —>custom CSS code —>Global CSS. You can also access the Theme options and custom code box anywhere in the page builder, for example, if you are editing the page content using the cornerstone page builder, you need to click on the Custom code —>Global CSS/Page CSS. You can click on the Layer Icon to access the Theme options.

Hope it helps
Thanks

I appreciate the response Prakash_s, but I guess I wasn’t very clear on what I was asking. I don’t want to use Cornerstone at all to build a site with Ethos X. Is there a way to do this natively in Wordpress without cornerstone?

Hello @PhotographerPC,

When you install a fresh WP and then select the Ethos stack, you can disable Page and Post editing with Cornerstone in Cornerstone > Settings > Permissions > Administrator . Once it is disabled, you can create the pages and your post items with the default WordPress editor. Both of those pages will then be using the default Ethos page and post layouts.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Ruenel. That helped.

You are most welcome @PhotographerPC
