Order of Updates for an old X site

Hello, I was asked to update. site that looks like it had auto updates on for a bit, since the plugins and wordpress are only a couple versions behind but X is version 7.2.3

I tried doing all the plugins except cornerstone first and then wordpress planning to do X and cornerstone after but the site white screened and I ended up having to do a restore.

I have more access today to the hosting and an FTP login but I was hoping you would have input on the order I can do these updates that will cause the least amount of downtime.

Thanks for writing to us.

I would suggest you please deactivate all the plugins first and then update the WordPress core to be on the safe side I would suggest you please activate the default WordPress theme. After updating the WordPress you need to update the X theme. You need to go to the plugin update the cornerstone plugin and activate it. Now you can update the other plugins one by one and then activate the other plugins one by one.
