Optimizing performance of a Modern Slider

I am using a Modern Slider as a carousel of images for a client’s website. She has 50 images to include. So, I wonder if there is a limit you recommend to optimize site performance, or does it load in a way that shouldn’t slow things down?

Also, does “regenerate thumbnails” assist in optimizing image sizes for this purpose, or should I do all of that manually in Photoshop? If there’s a plugin you recommend for this, I’m open to your suggestions.

I can say that 50 images will likely affect your website performance. That being said, you can check the pointers below on how you can optimize your website.

• Regenerate thumbnails ( either using editing tools or a plugin, please note we cannot recommend any plugins but you try and test it with yourself )
• Host your images in CDN ( https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/cdn/what-is-a-cdn/)
