Optimising Database

I am using Advanced Database Cleaner Pro Plugin

I have done all the optimisation that I can but I am faced with one last thing.

Orphan Postmeta

A total of 11860 of these. All of which are referenced to Cornerstone in the format

_cornerstone_override - VALUE
_cornerstone_settings - VALUE
_cornerstone_data - VALUE

What are these and can I delete them?

The plugin’s support says:

The postmeta data is the information you provide to viewers about each post. This information usually includes the author of the post, when it was written (or posted), and how the author categorized that particular post. In some cases, some post meta data information become orphan and do not belong to any post. They are then called orphan postmeta and should be cleaned since they are not useful.

But no reference to Cornerstone as you can imagine.

Hey there,

Those are Cornerstone’s builder data. You should not delete them. Orphan data are the ones not used anymore like those of uninstalled plugins.

Thanks.

Related Question: I am having the same issue as above when trying to optimize the database. I am no longer using the Cornerstone plugin. (Converted to Xpro). There is a large amount of “orphaned Cornerstone metadata”.
Example: https://www.screencast.com/t/1qOFvk1NqHj1

Can these orphaned cornerstone metadata be removed without causing a problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @chet,

This is fairly old ticket. To avoid any confusion, I suggest you to please create a new ticket and one of the Themeco support staff will take a look to assist you further.

Thanks for understanding.
