Open Graph Protocol

Hello,

I’d like to place my OPG data in the header.php file. I’ve tried this on one of my sites, however it doesn’t seem to work properly.

Please note:

• I have OPG enabled in Pro, but it doesn’t allow me to edit the title or description
• I also have Yoast, but Facebook and the Facebook debugger are not picking up the Facebook title and Facebook description. (It does, however, pick up the image I’ve placed into Yoast)

Can you please let me know how to go about inserting the meta tags within the header.php file? I’d prefer to customize it.

Is your homepage is your main concern in this question? because I’m not sure if you want to edit the title and description OG meta tags for every single post/page? could you please share your website URL so we can run the Facebook debugger tool and investigate this issue?

One of them is http://jsganimalremoval.collects-it.com (the image shows up, but I’d like to edit the title and description (where it says “Home” and “Humane and safe…”)

Same deal with the other website that I’d like to adjust the title and description in: http://starwarscards.net/

For both sites, the facebook debugger says: “The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id”

Hey @Irvine,

X Open Graph does not have the ability to customize meta tags so you should disable it as it will conflict with Yoast SEO’s Open Graph. Regarding the FB error, please see this article from Yoast SEO.
