Oops Error Regarding Google Maps, and I cannot locate the plugin that comes with X

I have installed the Themeco X demo content and got the “Oops” error in Google Maps section. I found a related article in Knowledge Base and watched the demo video that shows how to get an API key. I got the one for generic use on a testing site. Step two shows where to paste the API code, but I am having trouble finding the plugin in my dashboard extensions area, as well as anywhere in the plugins folder.

Where do I find it and how do I install or activate it if it does not show up anywhere in the Wordpress interface?

Hi @ginaspeaking1957,

Thanks for writing in.

In this case, please share us your admin credentials so we could fully check your setup and we could provide absolutely working solution.

Don’t forget to set it in secure Note.

Thanks.

I do not know how to pass my admin credentials in a secure note.

Will you please simply tell me where in the wp interface do you find the correct field within cornerstone to place the Google Maps API key to properly activate all maps within the loaded extended demo? I did get as far as getting a API key, but now I am struggling to locate the proper field to place the API key code to get the google maps within the extended demo named" Agency: from the x theme Ethos stack, to working properly and not get the Oops error message.

I do think it would benefit all users who are struggling with this to put clear instructions on how to do this in the Knowlege Base.

Hi there,

To be able to add your API key to the website you should locate the Google Map elements which are used in a website.

As you are using the agency demo you simply need to go to your home page and click on Edit With Cornerstone, then kindly click on the Google Map elements and at the left side of the screen you will see the place to add the API key:

Hope it helps.
