Ongoing problem with Components disappearing when another user makes changes

Hi

we have an ONGOING problem with components loosing ALL DATA when another user other than myself makes changes to the origin file.
Example the Footer. Another user made some changes to text on the footer. Once saved and viewed on front end the data is GONE! when going back to back end to view footer all data is GONE and it gives the start screen of choose what to create.

This is causing massive problems as no other user is able to work on these elements/components and footers.

PLEASE we need assistance to sort this out.
The workaround I created was to everytime a change is made I resave it as a template to apply later should the data be lost again.

There might be some different reasons behind your issue, and I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue ** if you have activated it.
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not support custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– Another username/password where the issue exists

This is a staging site you sent us correct? Does this happen for every user?

Yes I’ve given you access to a Staging site. It happens on both our staging and production site.
Anyone other than myself seems to loose all data if they work on the page/component/footer/header.

I have a feeling this is an unfiltered_html permission issue + multi-site. There is a guide here on how to enable that for users. Let us know if that helps.

It could also be an unfiltered uploads issue. Multisite works slightly differently when it comes to permissions.
