One Page Revolution Slider site

Hi Team X!

We would like to know the steps to installing Slider Revolution on the home page, using a Theme Punch one page site template that has the navigation built in as a coming soon home page while we build up the new XTheme site behind the scenes. Is there somewhere that outlines the steps to accomplishing this?

Many thanks :+1:

Hey @DeeDesign,

Regretfully, I’m not entirely sure what you’d like to accomplish but reading the general usage guide of Slider Revolution and our theme might help get you started. Visit this link: https://theme.co/docs/slider-revolution

There is no “ThemePunch One Page Site Template” documentation. If you need navigation to move the slides, visit this link: https://www.themepunch.com/slider-revolution/navigation-editor/’

After reading those and they are not what you need, would you mind providing us more details or probably an example website and detail its features. We’ll then tell you if its possible with Slider Revolution and if so, provide you with documentation links.

Thanks.

Thank you Christian.

We would like to use this one page template:

As a coming soon splash page while we build the X site in the background.
I’ve loaded the coming soon addon for revolution slider - and can assign a slider to that (that is the Levano above) but how to properly set it up so that this is on the home page and live with no X header, nav or footer visible but at the same time being able to work on the design and development of the X Theme options in draft format in the background?

Hi @DeeDesign,

Thank you for the clarification, to do that first you need to create a dedicated “coming soon” page. Then set the page template of that page to Blank - No Container | No Header, No Footer

Now add your Slider to that page using the Classic Revolution Slider element.

Make sure you remove the spacing on the section to avoid any unnecessary spacing to your page. You can do that by right-clicking the Section and Click Remove Spacing option.

Now the slider should occupy the entire page.

You then need to set this page to be your Homepage under Settings > Reading, just re-set this to your actual homepage when you are done developing the actual pages.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Perfect thank you @friech!
Going to dive in now and I’ll let you know how it goes.

Will the Page Settings (gear) for no footer/no header mean that we can’t access those for dev in the background (other draft pages)? Maybe better to just use the no header/no footer template for the coming soon page only, form the page template settings?

Hi @DeeDesign,

I’m not entirely certain what do you mean by that, the Page Template option is available to both published or draft page.

Yes, that is what I meant above and my screenshot.

Cheers!

I understand - sorry I thought that was in the global section.
Everything came together perfectly, the coming soon add on from Revolution Slider was not required and this way we can load two sliders one for desktop and one for mobile (helpful with the background images in RS) Thank you so much!

You are most welcome!
