One page of Six experiencing trouble in Cornerstone

Weird situation here. I have a site built in Pro. There is a set of 6 pages which are identical in structure, with only slight differences in content: headline at top, Toolset View in the left column, image in the right column, and then some standard copy below.

Each was built in the same way using templates, and each worked for months with no issues. I discovered this week that one of these pages shows no page content (beyond the header and footer). When digging into this a bit more, it looks like there’s something weird going on in Cornerstone, as the other content sections appear in the left panel, but I cannot get in to edit the content itself.

Because this is a membership site, I can only provide screenshots here, one of a healthy page in the set and the one that is experiencing the issues.

Has anyone else seen behavior like this? Where only one page built on the same templates as other pages will not display content? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
–Eric

Hello Eric,

Thanks for writing in! If your Membership plugin is altering or inject contents on the page dynamically, that page will not have any preview in Cornerstone. That is why there is an error message being displayed. Only normal pages can be edited with Cornerstone. Pages with dynamic contents might not load in Cornerstone.

Hope this helps.

Hi @RueNel,

Nothing is being injected into this page from the membership. There is a Toolset view, but that’s it, and the Toolset views on other pages work just fine. The pages in the two screenshots are identical in structure and content type. Only specific words are different. That’s why this is so weird. Of the six pages in question, five look like the “Member Shared Content - Fundamentals” screenshot above. I expect the “Member Shared Content - Metrics” page to also look like this. But it doesn’t. I’ll add admin information in a hidden note here so you can login and see for yourself.

Thanks,
–Eric

Hello Eric,

I have logged in and checked the pages. Did you duplicated Fundamentals page? How did you applied it to the Metrics page? When I edit the Metrics page, nothings displays on it. So I edit Metrics page using the default WP editor.

Still, nothing displays in the Metrics age. There could be a conflict somewhere. Perhaps a slug conflict. Please find any category name, tag name or any taxonomy or page that bears the same “Metrics” slug or name. You may have added somewhere in your settings.

Please let us know how it goes.
