One page navigation - not scrolling to correct place in page

Hi,

I’m having an issue with one page navigation, and although I can see others reporting the same problem, none of the solutions seem to work for me.

I have a main menu which is working perfectly, including the navigation to certain IDs within the page. I have an additional sub navigation at the top of each page, so that you can easily scroll to a certain part of the page by clicking the link at the top. It is this that is not scrolling to the correct position.

I’ve turned on one page navigation for this page, and selected the menu for that page.

Are you able to point me in the right direction of what I’m doing wrong?

Hi @timgroves,

Thanks for writing to us.

Please follow up the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.

  2. Go to Pro > Settings and click on the Clear Style Cache button.

  3. If you’re using a CDN(ex: CloudFlare), please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services. For the CloudFlare you also need to follow the steps below beside the developer mode: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/1

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Activate the parent theme and test the site. If it works please remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Hi Prakash,

Thanks for your help.

I was able to pin point it to the Sticky Bar tick box in the header I am using. I have switched this off and applied position: fixed to the bar using the CSS editor instead, and that has fixed the problem.

Thanks again,

Tim

Hello Tim,

Glad that you were able to fix the problem by yourself.

Have a great day!
Thanks
