One page navigation anchor for top of the page

Hi Themeco,

I’ve created a one page site with one page navigation and the page is configured to show the slider above the header. At the moment when a user clicks on the “Home” menu item, it scrolls up to the first body section below the banner and header.

Please refer to the following link:

When a user clicks on the “Home” button, I would like the page to scroll all the way to the top of the page, showing the header and Slider banner, instead of just scrolling to the first section on the page.

Please could you advise how I could achieve this with the one page navigation?

Best regards,

Hello @Glasseye,

Thanks for writing in!

Please understand that the anchors or menu items is linked to the sections by way of the section ID. Your “Home” menu item were linked to the section with the “home” ID. It would expected that when you click on the home menu item, it will scroll to the Home section.

If you would want that clicking home will go on top of the page, then please change the link in the “Home” menu item from #home to #top.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Many thanks for the feedback, It works perfectly.

Is there a way to have it scroll smoothly to the top of the page as with the other sections, instead of jumping so abruptly to the top?

Hi,

Please change #top with #x-root

Thanks

Perfect! Works great.

Thanks so much.

You’re most welcome!
