Not sure how Staging translates practically

Hi, appreciate the option of a staging environment, but pretty new with the Themeco theme builder. How do I effectively take all the work that’s been done in Staging to my Prod site? I’ve tried using the XCS import and export but that basically just imports the base theme, not the extra work I did in Cornerstone. I there a way to save the entire theme as-currently-is in Cornerstone and import accordingly?
