Not mobile friendly after updating

After this last update, again, my site is not mobile friendly according to Google, although it seems to work fine on every device I tried it on. Why does this continually happen after your updates and how do I fix it? This is extremely frustrating and I have wasted hours and hours of my time trying to find the cause, in vain. Please have one of your experts troubleshoot this, I’m sure it will only take you a few seconds to figure it out.

It is the Icon stack from your imported Spa template.

Thanks

12 hours now trying to figure out what happened after this last theme update, I added padding to every element on the page and it still says not mobile friendly, clickable elements too close, & content is suddenly wider than screen, all B.S… I viewed my page on 4 different mobile devices and everything looks fine, but according to Google it is no longer “mobile friendly” after your update.

The sad thing is these problems only occur after your theme updates, and you can’t even reply? Makes me wonder. Especially after I paid over $700 in licensing fees.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website Home page on my Android mobile phone but am unable to find the problem you are trying to mention here. I would suggest you check once by clearing all types of cache including the System Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear System Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

If that does not help, I would request you please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem. We may also need to investigate it through WordPress admin dashboard, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

The site is no longer “mobile friendly” according to Google after it was updated. But it appears just fine on any mobile device, and I can’t I find any problems with the layout.

Enter the URL for the site at https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly
and here is what you will see:

Page isn’t usable on mobile
This page can be difficult to use on a mobile device.

Why it’s not usable
Content wider than screen
Clickable elements too close together

Clearing Cornerstone cache does nothing to solve this. Google sucks.

Your update is getting me delisted from Google. What is the best way to roll this back to prior versions so I don’t lose my search engine rankings? Or better yet tell me why my site is no longer user-friendly after your theme update so it can be saved.

Hey Mark,

It is not our updates nor our theme that causes SEO issues in your site. It is because your website is slow (not because of our theme).

If you take a closer look at the mobile friendly result, you’ll see that the site resources has not yet been loaded when Google took a screenshot of your site. That is because of your site speed and there are a lot of factors contributing to it which are beyond the scope of our theme support. Whatever theme you’ll use, if your site is slow, you’ll get that mobile friendly result.

If you look at your site on your phone, it’s mobile friendly when you wait for everything to load up completely.

Here’s a screenshot of your speed test.

Please consider speeding up your site. Here’s a general guide: https://theme.co/docs/how-to-improve-site-performance

Configuring a performance plugin can be tricky. In case you want us to speed up your site in future, you can get our Boost service.

Thank you for understanding.
