Even though I have a forum topic selected as “Watching” I never get an email when someone replies. Also, I can not find anywhere to set up the email for this feature unless it by default uses the users email address in which case is confirmed and works obviously. So what am I missing?

Thank you for writing in, please navigate to Account > Profile > Preferences > Emails you can configure which types of notifications you’d like to receive there. Yes, the email address that is associated with your account is where the email will send to.
