Not all products in a category displaying on mobile

Hello,

Recently, we noticed that not all products are displaying in a category on mobile.

For example on this page: https://cygalartdeco.com/product-category/furniture/seating-furniture/

You can see there are many chairs available on desktop but if you check on mobile, it starts showing tables after the first 12 chairs.

I have tried disabling all the plugins and reactivating them and also flushing the hosting, website and browser caches to no avail. I switched to the default WP theme and the chairs show up on mobile.

Please advise how we can fix this.

Also, after a recent update, product images appear zoomed in and cut off. Should we regenerate the thumbnails?

Thanks for your help!

Hello @Cygal2024,

Thanks for writing to us.

I tried to access the site URL you provided, but it appears you have put the website in maintenance mode. I would suggest that you please clone your live website to the staging server and share the staging admin login details so we can check it on our end without affecting your live website.

Please also regenerate the thumbnails to ensure proper image sizing.

Thanks

Thank you. The site is no longer in maintenance mode and I have created a staging site:

Also, I regenerated the thumbnails but they are still displaying as zoomed in/cropped/cut-off.

Hello @Cygal2024,

I checked your given staging server site, and it seems that it is working fine on my end. I have tested it on my end on the Google Chrome browser on the Android phone. Please clear your browser cache and recheck it.

Thanks

I have tried in both Chrome Incognito and Safari Private Browsing - without previously ever opening the staging site link and both still show tables as soon as you scroll past the first 12 chairs.

We only have iPhones - could this be an iPhone specific issue?

Also, regernated thumbnails did not fix the zoomed in/cropped/cut-off issue.

Hello @Cygal2024,

I checked your website on the iPhone version on the browser debugger mode it seems that it is working fine on my end. I have tested the product details it seems that you have added the custom CSS code to crop the product image. Please remove this custom CSS code and check it.

Thanks

Thank you. I removed the code and the thumbnails are no longer cut off.

Regarding the iPhone search display on mobile - I had someone else who’d never visited the site check it on their phone and they, too, see tables after the 1st 12 chairs. How can we fix this? My client is concerned her customers will mistakenly think she only has 12 chairs available.

Hey Catrine,

I checked the page in Browserstack since I do not have an iPhone. This is what I am seeing:

The Infinite Scroll is working on my test. You can temporarily disable Infinite Scroll and the page navigation numbers should display instead to make sure that the customers will know you have more chairs.

Best Regards.

Thanks for checking. This is frustrating bc we’ve checked on multiple iPhones and are still seeing tables after the first 12.

How can I disable infinite scroll? I searched through Cornerstone settings but did not find it.

Hello Catrine,

To display the product items in your archive, you used the [cygal-products] shortcode. I checked the plugins section and I found out that a 3rd party plugin Cygal Custom Plugin. This is where the infinite scroll is coming from which have caused your issue. I would highly recommend that you contact the author of this plugin.

Be advised that our support only covers getting your site set up, bug fixes and minor cosmetic changes. Any 3rd party plugin support is not included.

Best Regards.

Thanks Ruenel. The previous developer created that plugin. Guess we’ll need to find an alternative…I’ll do some testing to see if just the basic WooCommerce shortcode works better. I appreciate your help!

Glad that we were able to help you.
