how do i edit the blog page?
it displays “the blog” and I am not able to delete that. there is nothing on the backend for me to edit. are there ways to have different layouts?

You may remove it in X > Theme Options > Integrity > Blog Header.
As for the layout, there are options that the theme provides which are in X > Theme Options > Blog > Style.
