In “The News” section towards the bottom, does anyone know what elements are used for those three permalink images? Is it something like the Essential Grid plugin?

This is called “Classic Recent Posts” element, please check this screenshot:

Make sure you have “Content Builder Elements” set to “All Elements” in (X > Settings):
