No styling and Failed to load resources

Hi Themeco,

On my website all the styling is missing from the Theme and WordPress. Also when I’m logged in I can’t see or change anything.

When I inspect the page I see a lot of: Failed to load resource: net::ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR errors.

I tried to replaced a backup and deactivate plugins and theme’s but nothing seems to work.

Can you please help me out?

Hi Tim,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and found that the X theme is updated to the latest version whereas the Cornerstone is still in the older version i.e. 7.3.9. Which might be the reason behind your problem. I would suggest you update the Cornerstone by following the below steps.

1. Delete the exitsing Cornerstone.
2. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be the latest version.

If that does not help, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.

Hi Trisup,

Thx for looking in to it. I updated cornerstone manually with FTP because I can’t see and open anything in WordPress because of the styling is all gone. After the update of cornerstone everything stays the same.

I disabled all the plugins except Cornerstone but no change. I renamed X-Child and X-Theme and get the message the X-Child theme is missing except for changing to a default theme.

Any idea’s?

Can it be something with the website is located in the folder “website”?

It also can’t find the source of any images and css files while they are still on the right place. Only the folder “website” is missing in the url if I inspect the website.

I have tried to access your website but it shows a ciritical error. The WordPress admin URL is also not accessible due to the same issue.

Still working on finding the issue.

Now added the following to the wp-config.php file to assign the right path:

Site is loading again with styling but all images are not loaded.

Hey @Timmid,

I’ve checked your website and the images are showing 404 issue which means that it is not found on the directory. This might be a permission issues on the folder. I highly suggest that you ask for help in your hosting provider, they can give you an idea on how to fix this issue because this issue is outside the scope of our theme support.

Hi Marc,

No the folder permissions are fine. Don’t know how but for some reason the subfolder “website” was removed everywhere on the image url paths.

Luckily the website isn’t big so I manually relinked the images on the website.
