No scroll home page

Hi there,

Using a rev slider on my home page:

https://basedcreative.com

I don’t want the page to be able to scroll. Could you tell me how to do this please?

Hi there,

This is not supported by default in our theme or the Revolution Slider. We can give you a Custom CSS code which will make it work in your case but it is not a 100% bulletproof solution. You will need to get help from a developer for this as this customization is outside the scope of your support, but to help you get started we will give you proper code to work upon.

Kindly go to Pro > Launch > Theme Options > CSS and add the code below:

.home .forcefullwidth_wrapper_tp_banner {
    height: calc(100vh - 96px) !important;
}

Let me break down the code for you:

The first .home the section is to make sure this code will be executed only on the homepage and not other pages with the slider.

The forcefullwidth_wrapper_tp_banner section of the code, selects the wrapper tag of the slider.

The 100vh section forces the height of the slider wrapper to be always at the same height of the browser window.

The 96px part is the height of the header. We need to subtract the height of the header from the 100vh which is the full height of the browser to find the proper height to make the slider always feet and does not force the browser window to have a scroll. To do so we added this part of the code: calc(100vh - 96px) .

The !important! section is to make sure that our code will have a higher priority from the default value of that tag which is 100%.

Now this will be the start of the code and many factors are not yet covered, for example, the mobile view and many other cases. Kindly consult with a developer regarding this to help you continue the work to have a No scroll section for your homepage.

Thank you for your understanding.
