No pro.zip file when downloading the folder

Hi Apex,

I’ve just downloaded the Pro folder and was eager to try it out, but it did not contain a Pro.zip file so I could upload it…

Did I download the wrong folder or is there something I have forgot to do?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,
OB

Hello Ob,

Thanks for writing in!

That’s quite strange. Have you tried to unzip the package before installing Pro? Please try that and let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

I have the issue, the file does not contain any zip file. I am unable to install pro.

I have tried everything. Its a simple folder (Pro) containing some php files. The folder is not zipped.

It needs to get fixed urgently. Thanks.

Hi There,

That is exactly the pro.zip it contains php files. The very file that you downloaded is the .zip file.

It might be just your machine recognizing the zip file as folder. I’ve been downloading files from the internet for as long as I can remember and I never experience downloading a folder. Its either a zip, rar, or the actual files.

Try to upload the very file that your machine downloaded, because that is a zip file.

Hope this shed some lights,
Cheers!

I’m having the same problem and there is no way to upload the file to WordPress in any other format than .zip. Seeing as I’ve already purchased the Pro Theme is there any way to get a .zip file?

I just tested the download, and I get a pro.zip file. @PYS

What the dev is saying is are you positive that as you are viewing / exploring the files / folders structure on your machine, it is not treating the .zip as a folder?

On Windows (Explorer), while viewing folders and files, windows can be set to show the files within a .zip making it appear to have been unzipped, when infact you are ‘exploring’ the actual zip file itself.

If on windows use (explorer) or MAC use (finder)… start a search at the root of the drive that you downloaded what you think is the pro folder (which should be pro.zip)… and do a search for exactly “pro.zip”.

What do you get in search results, do you see “pro.zip”?

You should be able to download Pro in your dashboard. Would you mind giving us a screen recording so we could see the steps you took?

Thanks.

As a side note, my Mac appears to automatically unzip the file during download as I was having the same problem. I’m not sure if that is configured on your side or not but I have def been able to download other zip files that appear as .zip files on my machine. I just right clicked the download button and “saved download link as” and it saved as a zip file.
