I have updated x theme and cornerstone and there is no portfolio or portfolio item option.
Please can you help me.

You are not seeing the portfolio sections because you have renamed the x folder into x-4 and x-5. I went ahead and uploaded the latest version having only the x folder name.
You can remove the
x-4andx-5theme installation.
Please check your site now.
