No gap between bold and regular text

Hi,

I am having a weird issue when displaying bold text within a line of normal text. For some reason the space between the bold text and normal text gets removed on the final output webpage. However it looks fine in the editor.

Any idea what’s causing this?

Cheers

Tom

Hey Tom,

There’s something in your site that’s breaking strong tags. It’s not the theme because I pasted your text in my test sites and it’s not happening there. Regretfully, we have no means to trace the third party factor that is causing this. The quick solution for your current setup is you add   before your strong tags.

Hope that helps.

Plugin conflict I’m guessing :frowning:

It could be. It would be best to test in a staging server so troubleshooting won’t affect your live site’s operation.

Odd thing is it wasn’t an issue on the test server, it was only noticed once the site was live…

Hi There,

Can you confirm that this issue has been resolved? As I can see the spacing of strong tags look good now:

Thanks.

Hi

It’s not really resolved in as much as I had to use the hack suggested by your colleague.

Cheers

Hey Tom,

Is your test site hosted in the same server as your live site? Also, is the WordPress setup exactly the same? This could be due to WordPress (including database) character encoding. Regretfully, we could not go deep into server and WordPress configurations. We only could investigate general issues or if the issue is common.

Thanks.

The site is live the issue didn’t exist in cornerstone but only on the live page

You previously said this:

So I asked:

I just also wanted to add that please do a comparison of the setup because I could not replicate this in my test sites and we currently don’t have the capability to trace what’s causing the issue especially that this is a unique case.

Thanks.
