News/Blog Post Link not going to destination, instead going to "theme.co/x"

All news/slider posts have a “READ MORE” link that unfortunately don’t go to the destination, instead they go to theme.co/x

Other parts of the highlighted section (the text) link properly to the story/post. But the READ MORE button prompt does not. I don’t know how to fix it. ALso, the person I hired, who is a WP expert can’t fix it either and he said to reach out to support.

Hello Ellen,

Thanks for writing in! You are using an older version of the theme and Cornerstone. Can you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 7.2.3
  • Cornerstone 4.2.3
  • WordPress core 5.3.2
  • at least PHP 7.2

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
