Newest update slowed website down

hi after the newest update the theme load time shot up by 2 a considerable amount my site was loading under half a second now the theme alone is loading at 2 seconds

Thanks for writing in!

Our new update contains performance optimization it’s much faster than 3.0.4 and 5.2.7.
Can you please check for a plugin conflict, which may affects the performance.

You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

i sought a second opinion please see image it is the theme it doesnt seem to be optimised for speed we tested without plugins

In that case, would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in a secure note? I like to check it too. And are you on shared hosting?

Half a second is too fast, even on my clean installed Wordpress with Twentyseventeen loads at least 1-2 seconds.

Hi @allan015,

Latest updates runs my site almost the same with the previous updates. There could be a problem in your hosting that causing this. I suggest you contact your hosting for any changes or updates.

As mentioned above, share us your admin credentials so we could check your setup closer and we could test it.

Don’t forget to set it in a secure note.
