Newest Update Breaks Site

Hello

I am trying to update from X version 5 to 6 and everytime I try to do that the update does not create an “x” theme folder and the site breaks. Can I please get your help? I’m noticing that alot of times there are updates the site breaks which causes huge headaches for me.

It would be best if you setup a staging site and do the update from there so that you will be able to test things through without disrupting the live site. In case you are still having problems with the update, kindly login through FTP then edit the wp-config.php file and find this line: define('WP_DEBUG', false);. Set it to true then save the file. When you view the site, you should be able to see some error info. Kindly post the error messages here so that we can provide some suggestions.

In case you’re able to setup a staging site, kindly do the update from there and if the errors persist, please provide the URL and admin access so that we could check it ourselves.
