Do I add this snippet in the child theme php functions doc through the editor? Do you have a sample?

You can add following code in child theme function.php file:

function load_custom_js() {
	wp_enqueue_script( 'recaptcha', 'https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js' );
	
}
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'load_custom_js' );
