New WP/Pro install won't load missing features and won't load templates correctly

I have a new WP install at Bluehost.com and its acting buggy. It is missing functionality in the Header Builder and won’t let me center or make simple color changes to text boxes. I’ve tried 2 new WP installs as well as downloading new PRO Zips in different versions and removing all plugins. None of the Design Cloud templates seem to work correctly. I tested my other WP/Pro installs and they all seem to be functioning correctly. No spinning icon, just features not working like other sites. Any help or ideas appreciated. thanks - Jeff

  • WordPress 5.3.2 running Pro theme
  • PRO 3.12 (also tried Stability Release 3.04)
  • Removed unused plugins
  • Bumped Php to 512mb
  • Will send login securely

Hi Jeff,

I tried to login using the details you have provided but they don’t seem to work:

Would you mind double checking the details so we can have a look at your setup?

Thank you.

Thanks Jade, sorry about that. The Secure Note/Login has been updated. Thanks.

I also installed Cache plugins as well. We need to launch this site by tomorrow.

Hey @designheavy,

I see that Pro has not been installed properly. The Pro folder has been renamed to pro 3. Please login to your server and go to the folder where you installed WordPress and then open wp-content/themes and rename it back to pro. Please then check if the issue persists after that.

Thanks.

Thanks Christian, I edited the name and cleared all the caches. It helped a little but we are still not there.

Pro is not letting me center any content in Rows or Columns. The Templates are showing the same effect, all flush left by default. I dont see any menus for alignment other than the Flexboxes which seem to have no effect. Very strange. Can you please take another look, thanks.

Update for other users.

I was able to fix the issue by the following procedure.

  • Uninstalled Pro 3.1.3
  • switched Pro Theme to a stock theme
  • purged all the caches using plugin WP-Optimize - Clean, Compress, Cache
  • Reinstalled and activated STABILITY RELEASE version 3.0.4

The issue was just like Christian pointed out. When downloading PRO, make certain you do not have other copies or previous downloads on your desktop or folders or it renames the file PRO-1, PRO-2, etc. If you Zip those files PRO-1.zip, PRO-2.zip it will cause errors. The name must remain “pro”.

Glad to hear you got it sorted, @designheavy and thanks for sharing the solution.

Cheers!
