New user question

So i have just purchased X two days ago, and i feel that there must be something really weird with the way the demo stuff are working on my site, i really hope this is not the way it is

Hi there @deltapvc,

Thanks for writing in. It looks like everything is mis-aligned. The demo content having “placeholders” is correct, as there are two types of demos, these are known as “Standard demos” and “Expanded demos”.

Standard demos include placeholder text and images and are a starting point for adding your own content.

Expanded demos are full blown websites designs where you can tweak the content and be up and running even quicker.

Can you try re-installing the demo content and see if that gets everything fixed up.

Thanks

i tried reinstalling the demo, i even removed wordpress and made a fresh installation. but still i got the same misalignments.
and also i tried 2 different expanded demos. same misplacements.
what should i do now? i am honestly disappointed, ive bought many themes for my websites and this is the first time i have an issue in just loading the demo content while just getting started

Hey There,

Please try to reinstall the theme, maybe one of the files got corrupted on installation. Alternatively please provide us with the WordPress login credentials so we can take a look and find out what’s going wrong.

i guess you have to check it out because i tried everything and couldnt fix the issue

Hi there,

Looks like it’s due to CloudFlare’s minification.

First, please turn off your cache in Admin > Settings > General,
Second, turn off CSS and Javascript minification under CF’s Speed section.
Third, purge all CF’s cache and test it again.

And please provide your CF’s login credentials as well in case it’s not working.

And as a general recommendation as you’re just starting up your site, don’t use optimization at this stage. All caching and CloudFlare should be made active ONLY when you’re done developing your site. Cache is opposite of change, and you’re still changing and developing your site. Optimization should be done at the end as a polishing stage of a production site.

Thanks!

PROBLEM SOLVED:
The problem was caused by CoudFlare’s minification as you said! Turned it off and disabled cache on my dashboard, and everything is working seamlessly.

Thank you!

Glad to hear it and thanks for sharing the solution!
