Hi,

I’m getting the following message:

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 new Unparsable structured data related issue. This means that Unparsable structured data may be negatively affected in Google Search results. We encourage you to fix this issue.

New issue found:
Invalid top level element “string”

What does this mean and how can I resolve?

Many thanks in advance. The site concerned is:

Hey Thomas,

I have just checked on the search console but I do not see the issue that you mentioned:

https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fgilsonlavisart.uk%2F

Were you able to get it sorted already?

Thank you.

No, nothing yet. I don’t know why this is happening, but it seems to be stopping the site from being indexed with Google. It says the URL has timed out.

Hey Thomas,

I’m sorry but the error you posted does not give us enough information for us to see if this issue is coming from our theme. Please note that our theme is only a part of your website. A third-party plugin or a custom code you’ve added to your site are possible causes of that error too.

With that said, we need to know if the issue is coming from our theme so please do the action steps in the list below then rerun the Search Console test.

  1. Temporarily deactivate all third-party plugins and remove all custom codes in your site.
  2. If you’re using a child theme, please switch to the parent theme.

Your website timing out is not caused by our theme nor WordPress also. That issue is related to the server or your web host.

Thanks.
