Will Pro work with the new Store Front by WooCommerce?
Hello @xtjoeywx,
Thanks for writing in!
It’s difficult for me to comment on the compatibility with Storefront as Pro theme is developed using and following the guidelines of WordPress. Having said that as storefront is part of WooCommerce offering, it should work absolutely fine without any issues.
My suggestion would be to get in touch with them and see if they can provide a demo link to test the installation. Either way, I think it should work fine.
Thanks.
I didn’t think about this before, but Storefront is a theme, not a plugin. It simply won’t work out of the box, right? I can’t activate two themes.
However, I did find this Multiple Themes plugin, the problem is that I don’t know of a URL, prefix or query that is specific to specific to all of the WooCommerce pages only.
See the screenshot of the plugin to see what it calls for.
This would be cool to set up and it would answer a lot of the posts on here where people are looking to change their woocommerce pages.
Thanks,
Joey
Hello Kristian,
I am really sorry for the confusion on my part. I checked the Storefront and I thought that it’s a plugin that extends the functionality of WooCommerce. I didn’t realise that Storefront is a WooCommerce theme.
You can’t have two themes (Storefront and Pro Theme) in WordPress activated at the same time. I am extremely sorry for the mixup on my part.
Having said that I did a Google search and came across this blog post that I think you can take a look. Before deploying on live website, please test the plugin mentioned in the blog post on a staging server.

Joey, thanks a lot my friend to post here as I realized upon rechecking the demo page that Storefront is a WooCommerce theme not a plugin.
Thanks.
Hello,
I found the Multiple Themes plugin as well. I would like to give it a try, but it calls for one URL, or one prefix, or one query to turn on the second theme. Do you know of one URL, or one prefix, or one query that is specific to all of the WooCommerce pages? I would like the WooCommerce pages to be on the Storeftont theme and xTheme Pro to be on the rest.
Thanks,
Joey
Hello @xtjoeywx,
WooCommerce is not using any query for the cart, my account and checkout page. It is just using the normal page slug or query like: ?page_id=12 where the ID is the page ID. The shop and archive pages is using ?post_type=product and ?product_cat=accessories.
Hope this helps.
