New Posts Magazine issue

I am trying to create a custom blogs page. I’ve created an archive type and attached the template to it. The problem is when I add the magazine posts list, once I add an author horizontal box, it breaks the layout. The idea of the page is to list all the recent blogs.

Is it because this type of posts has a 2 column layout initial?

Also, will I be able to add navigation if I choose to display 3/page?

Thanks

Hi Alex,

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that the Main Post element tag was set to the <a>, and that might be the reason for your issue. I went ahead and reset the tag to <div>, which I think solved the issue. I would request you to check and let us know if the issue still exists.

And can you please explain what exactly you try to mean by saying will I be able to add navigation if I choose to display 3/page?.

Thanks

Oh, I see - thanks for this.

I would like to display only 3 blogs at once and then for the 3 more to have a second page? Basically, having pagination at the bottom?

Hi Alex,

You need to mention the exact number of posts while you are using the Recent Post option of Looper Provider. Just to inform you that Pagination works only with the main WordPress query only, so it may not work with the Recent Post option.

I have created another Layout named Test Blog with the pagination, you can check and replicate the same into your layout.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi @tristup , I am coming back to this - I have changed the layout from Magazine to Minimal and the navigation disappeared again. Could you please have a look and let me know what is wrong? Definitely is on Wordpress Query

Hello Alex,

I checked your layout it seems that you have not added the Post Pagination element in your layout. To get the pagination you need to get the add the Post Pagination element.

Please have a look at the given screenshot below.

Thanks @prakash_s - I have added the Pagination, is changing the pages but it doesn’t hide/show the different posts

Hello Alex,

It seems that you have set you had "OFF "the Looper Consumer because of that the pagination was not working. I have set it as “ON” and now it is working fine. Please check it.

Thanks - on what element you have activated this?

Hi Alex,

The Looper Consumer has been activated for the Post element under the Posts element. Please find the screenshot describing the element.

Thanks
