I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the new X customisation interface for “Custom” ie global JS and CSS. The editing areas are tiny! The previous editors were much better, with the option to expand over the whole window. My remedy now is to copy the entire text and edit it in BBEdit and then paste it back. This is not on. Why are you doing this?
Hello Kalle,
Thanks for writing in!
By default, you will have this:

As soon as you click the triangle icon, it will expand to the same size as your browser width and height.

By the way, I have checked your sites associated with your licenses and I could tell that you are not using the latest version. Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:
- X theme 6.4.6
- Cornerstone 3.4.6
This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).
_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-
Please let us know how it goes.
Thank you. Yes, I was using an outdated version of X which caused this problem. Also, I was looking for global scripts under Appearance –> Custom, but I notice it is now under Theme Options. Sorry for barking up the wrong tree.
I notice also that the preview function in Theme Options seems very sensitive to plugin conflicts. Several plugins which work fine elsewhere cause the preview to derail. Among them is a plugin named “X – Google Analytics” version 1.0.0 which has a link to Themeco’s webpage. Is there an update of that plugin?
Hi Kalle,
Yes, please update your X Google Analytics to 3.0.0. And please don’t add tracking code or any embed code, just add the UID.
Thanks!
Please where do I find the X Google Analytics 3.0.0? It is not found when I search WordPress plugins using the built-in search engine.
Hello Kalle,
Thanks for updating the thread.
X Google Analytics plugin is distributed as bundled plugin with X Theme. You should see update notification regarding X Google Analytics plugin in WordPress updates section. In case you don’t see update notification, then please deactivate and delete X Google Analytics plugin from Plugins > Installed Plugins. After that visit X > Validation > Extensions and click on install button to download and install latest version of X Google Analytics plugin on the website.
Thanks.
OK, thanks.
You’re welcome.
