I’m starting from scratch with cornerstone and x theme and the video tutorial for cornerstone is for an older version that’s quite different from the new one and I find it confusing.
Is there a tutorial for the latest version of cornerstone because I can’t seem to find one.

I do agree that the Cornerstone video is a bit old but the fundamental concepts remains the same. You can watch the same to get a broad level idea of Cornerstone. We also have published relevant articles in knowledge-base that you can take a look at get started.
