New anchor links not working

Hi, my developers have set up some links for me however, they say that they are not working. This is what does it done already:

  1. I’ve added ID to each section heading.
  2. I’ve added an anchor link on the button When testing this I can see that the button changes the URL to the respective one: https://celebratingdisability.co.uk/disability-consultancy/#inclusive_cultures, however it doesn’t actually scroll to the section.

Hi @esi_hardy,
Thanks for reaching out.

There might be a few different reasons for this issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot with a few of the common issues:

  1. Testing for Plugin Conflict
  2. Child Theme Issue
  3. CSS/JS Customization

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.

If none of these helps, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Admin URL
– Specific Page URL, where you are having the issue.
– WordPress Admin username / password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hello, thank you for your reply. My web developer says:

Those are standard testing practices. Please tell the theme developers that we’ve tested all of those. I’ve disabled all plugins, I’ve tested the parent theme and there is nothing set in Pro > Theme Options > CSS or Pro > Theme Options > JS so none of this could be causing the problem.

What else would you suggest?

Hey Esi,

In the previous reply of my colleague, he ask for login credentials if the basic troubleshooting doesn’t help. Please review the reply and provide the credentials we need.

By the way, our theme doesn’t have a bug with regards to this case so this is surely caused by other factors.

Thanks.

Hi Esi,

We are afraid to debug your live website because we might break some of the layouts. I suggest that you copy your website into a staging area so that we can debug more about your issue. Then give us all the details of your staging area in a secure note.

  • WordPress Staging URL
  • WordPress Staging Admin username/password
  • FTP Access

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you.

Ok thank you

Hi Esi,

Let us know when you already done creating the staging area so that we could fix your issue.

Thank you.

Please see details above

Hey Esi,

It’s the Calendy widget that is causing the issue. Please ask the Calendy developer to remove the 100% height that the widget applies to the page.

Otherwise, you need to find a Calendy alternative that doesn’t apply CSS to core HTML structures.

Hope that helps.

Oh, okay, thank you. Is the website back to normal now or do I need to do something to get it off the staging site?

Hi Esi,

The issue is coming from the 3rd party and fixing issues from a 3rd party implementation is outside the scope of our theme support. As my colleague said, please reach out to the Calendly developer to fix the issue or you may seek help for a 3rd party developer or you may apply to our One Services where they will answer all 3rd party customization.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
