New 2.1.2 Breaking Page editor

I can run the site normally on Pro 2.01, but when I upgrade to 2.1.2 the editor breaks on all pages and header and footers and get the dreaded: The preview was unresponsive after loading. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing.

I have disabled all plugins at one point and get same result.

I currently have at 2.01.

Hi @bsquareweb,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re having this issue.

Would you mind providing your admin login credentials in a secure note? Please allow me to update your theme for further checking. Please do backup your site too.

And make sure your PHP version is equal or greater than 5.6, except 7.2.

Thanks!

Hi There,

Upon testing, I was able to load page editor (see secure note). However I feel your server load is little bit high. Could you please try increasing your PHP max script execution time to 300 and re-test this issue on your end.

You can contact your hosting provider or directly edit your PHP.INI file by following this guide (https://www.simplified.guide/php/increase-max-execution-time).

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

I just upgraded x theme to 2.1.3 and I get the error and can’t get edit the header, footer or any existing pages with content. New pages you can access with no content. I moved the sites to a new server. I think when you did the test the builder version was 2.0.1 which worked for me, but the latest updates are not working on this. If you want to login now the theme is the latest.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I did check your site just now Content, Header, & Footer builder are working fine. But it seems you have an issue with your WP Google Maps plugin.

Try using your browser’s incognito/private mode, where there is no caching and add-ons involve.

Thanks,

The functionality works fine in Chrome. It is Mozilla that I am having issues editing. It is happening in two sites now.

Hello There,

Could this be a Mozilla browser caching issue? Please clear your browser cache or use private browsing mode in Firefox and test your site again.

Please let us know how it goes.

It has not gone well. I still can’t use Mozilla and today I received a call from one of our customer’s stating she couldn’t get in with Edge. The only browser that I know of that works is Chrome. We are running the latest versions of X and Pro.

Hi @bsquareweb,

I have tried your setup and it is working well also Firefox, Edge and Chrome. Please try to test it in a different computer and the latest release is already out. Try to update the latest version.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.
