Need help with 404 Error

Can anyone guide me toward a solution. Ive been dealing with slow performance and discovered that I have a 404 error that is loading at 12 seconds. Its a product image. The product was deleted awhile ago, along with the images. So for some reason the site is trying to locate the image causing the 404. There is also some kind of code error.

Both can be seen in the attachment.

Any ideas how to fix this? I am NOT a developer. So, please understand that when responding.

Thank you.

UPDATE: I was able to figure out the 404 error.

Just need help targeting a remedy for this issue.

Hey @orangefloor,

We’re not sure yet if our theme is causing the issue you’re experiencing. With that said, please perform the following troubleshooting steps and tell us if our theme is causing the issue.

  1. TESTING FOR THEME RELATED ISSUE
  2. TESTING FOR PLUGIN CONFLICT
  3. THEME UPDATE
  4. CHILD THEME
  5. CSS/JS CUSTOMIZATION
  6. INCREASING PHP MEMORY LIMIT
  7. DISABLING CACHE
  8. DISABLING CDN
  9. PERMALINKS
  10. VERSION COMPATIBILITY

Please note that we do not fix issues outside of our theme’s given functions. If you have issues with WordPress in general, you need to consult with a developer.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.

I figured out that the issue is with woo commerce, which is part of the theme.

the error is wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments

I looked this up and everything that I found was about disabling the shopping cart. But I need the shopping cart, so what would I do so this works correctly?

I also found that in order to fix this, the issue needs to be fixed by de-enqueuing the script by [modifying your theme’s functions.php file]

This is not something I know how to do. Is there someone that can handle this for me?

I’ve installed the recommended plugin for ‘Disable Cart Fragments’. There was not a change in slow performance and the error still show up on Performance Report.

Any ideas?

Hi @orangefloor,

I have checked your site in GTMetrix and I don’t see the said error anymore. In fact, your site got a high grade. It seems you already did everything you can (except those things suggested on YSLOW tab)

If you need to minify CSS and JS, you can follow the guide provided here.

Cheers!

Ive never got 3 seconds. Here is my current test.

@orangefloor,

I’ve checked your website on Gtmetrix and the only problem in the waterfall tab is the response from your server and we have no control regarding on it, please ask your server provider to help you with your concern or switch to a good hosting provider that can enhance your website speed.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.
