On the site: https://southeastpabuilders.com When you click on the dropdown in the collapsed nav it goes to the top level link before allowing the user to click a link in the sub-menu. This creates issues especially when some of the top links are anchor links within a certain page. So if the user click the drop-down for the “Works” menu item it directs to a certain sport on the home page. So if a user is on the contact page and clicks the 'Works" dropdown, they get directed to the home page without having the option to click the sub-menu items within works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried going back between the two sub-menu triggers in the Nav Collapsed design area but that did not make a difference.
Hello Matt,
Thanks for asking.
I see that you are using Pro version 2.4.2. Please update to the latest version of Pro Theme 2.4.4. After that please clear cache and test the dropdown menu again. In case problem is still there, please try out following solution:
- Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
- Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Updating worked, though i do notice a very fine line between hitting the dropdown arrow and the link. It’s easy on a desktop/laptop with a mouse, but with fat thumbs, a lot of times I hit the arrow and it acts like I hit the link. (It is much better after the update), but just wondering if you have any suggestions.
Thanks for the help!
Hello @mattkutz,
We’re glad that the update has resolve the issue. By the way, please adjust the styling of your menu by adding more padding to the top links. Padding should create enough space around the menu items and would make it easer to top in smaller screens.
Best Regards.
Duhhh, I should have thought of that! Thanks
We are delighted to assist you with this.
Cheers!
