Navigation Collapsed in Page vs. Header Question

If you view the following page in mobile view, you will see that the main menu using Navigation Collapsed opens to the right. Lower on the page, just beneath the photo there is an in page Navigation Collapsed which opens straight down. This is the behavior I want from the main menu version but it does not appear to be an option. Am I missing something?

In that case instead of using Collapsed Navigation element, please try using Navigation dropdown element.

The problem with the navigation drop down element is that I want it to be 100% width like the way the in page collapsed navigation works. Can you confirm that the in page and in header behavior of the navigation collapsed element IS different? If so I can look for an alternative. I want to rule out this way first though. Thanks.

Well going by the default behaviour of Navigation Collapse and Mobile menu, there is a difference. However, you can customize navigation collapsed element to suit your requirement. You can also try changing the width of Dropdown under the Dropdown Tab > Setup > Width.

OK. I don’t necessarily mind the navigation collapsed coming in from the left or right on mobile. I just have not see that before and am unsure if it will work in all cases - I don’t see why not but just cautious. Your thoughts on the mobile navigation from the side like that?

Going by the general practice most of the time we see Navigation Dropdown kind of effect on mobile devices. However, as the web is evolving there is a need to come up with new interfaces that can comprehend changing landscape of the websites.

There is no denying that we are putting up website to reach our target customer base. Here is something I can suggest you. Let’s design two headers. On one header let’s have Navigation Collapsed element and on other header we can have Navigation Dropdown. Once you are done with this, assign respective header to couple of pages. After doing that, you can share the URL’s with your friends and family and request them to test it out and see which one they like to navigate. Doing so will give you a rough idea about there behaviour and which one they are liking. It’s just a personal input from my end, hope you don’t mind.
