By default, you only have two choices for the placement of the logo in the navbar.
1.) Stacked logo and navigation menu or the logo appears on top and the navigation below.
2.) Inline logo and navigation; that is when the logo is displayed to the left side and the navigation in the right side.
You can check this setting in X > Theme Options > Header > Logo and Navigation > Layout.
In your homepage, you used a Blank - No Container | No Header, Footer page template. You created a content band and added menu. To accomplish what you have in mind, you are almost there. Just align the menu items to the center and then in the next content band, you can insert the logo image and your call to action button. Please be reminded that this design will only be displayed in your homepage and not globally.
If you want to have a custom header that will be applied site wide or in all pages of your sites, you might need to use the Pro theme instead. Pro theme is for intermediate and advanced users where you can have your custom header and footer. You can also assigned a unique header or footer to specific pages as well.
