Ok, I posted this thread a few weeks ago and I was told to reupload the x theme files via ftp. I did that, it fixed the problem briefly but now it’s happened again (2 weeks later)…

Can you help me find a more permanent fix? I can’t keep doing this every 2 weeks… and it causes downtime for the site.
I’ve fixed the problem again today, but I had to reupload the x theme again.

Do you have auto update setup on your site? This seems like an isolated case specific to the setup of your site since it happens in two weeks interval.
It is a possibility that the site is compromised since the issue happens without you doing anything. Try installing the Wordfence plugin so that you can scan all the files of your site in case any of the files is compromised.
