My sites are not working properly on iPad

Hi,

This site - https://www.zentire.nl - looks fine on desktop but since today it doesn’t display correctly on iPad. Certain elements/sections don’t show and the menu is gone (in landscape).

On another site the images of the LayerSlider are not showing on iPad. It’s this site - http://www.dewingerdhoreca.nl -

Hi @yingfuli,

Thanks for writing in.

Upon checking your setup, I could see errors in your browser console that are related to the slider images.

You need to reset your site URL

Few ways to do can be found in the link below:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Edit_functions.php

That section on using the Edit Functions method may be the best in your case. Few steps need to use FTP.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Hi,

That seems to have solved the slider issue but the menu is still invisible on the iPad.

Also did you check the other website, www.zentire.nl?

Fixed it. It turned out that it had to do with css I had used to change the break points in responsiveness.

Hi there,

What iPad and browser version you’re testing it with? I tried with iPad Pro with Safari and Chrome and the menu is properly displaying.

Thanks!

See my previous reply

Hi,
I’m glad you managed to get this sorted out, well done

It took me some pondering but then I remembered for both sites i had changed the default breakpoints (1200-up, 980-1199 et al) and it just so happened that iPad in landscape just fell in between those two breakpoints. Changing it back solved it.

That does mean though that my initial reason to change the breakpoints is not resolved but i’ll have a look at that later.

@yingfuli I see, thanks for clarifying that and feel free to open a new thread if you need any help.
