My site title is showing up as a visually hidden H1 on every page

Hi, my website alpineeng.com has a visually hidden H1 (the site title) on the home page.

Is there an option that will allow me to remove that?

Hi @adsmith86,

Thanks for writing in.

Upon checking your homepage, I could not see any h1 that are visually hidden.

Please share us a screenshot where it is located.

Thanks.

Hi, I followed another thread and somehow managed to remove that. I am still getting it on this site though: www.oxforddentalidahofalls.com

Hi There,

Just do the same what you did to https://alpineeng.com, they are both using X right? So it should work on https://www.oxforddentalidahofalls.com/ as well.

oxforddentalidahofalls has a caching plugin, be sure to clear it after doing the changes.

Thanks,

Obviously I have tried this already. It got rid of the sitewide invisible h1, but it is still showing on the home page for some reason. Yes, I have cleared the cache.

Hey There,

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link login to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

All the best!

Here you go

Hi there @adsmith86,

Thanks for writing back, I’m afraid the secure note isn’t showing. Could you try adding a secure note and we’d be happy to take a look.

I should note though that the visually hidden h1 will have no negative impact on either your site or SEO and everything will continue to work fine.

Thanks!

Let’s try this again.

Hi There,

I’ve already removed the h1 tag.

The correct directory is: /wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/global/_brand.php

Regards!
