God, I have no clue what I’m doing. All I know is that my site Vancognito.com has gone haywire.
I will try to summarize what I did.
I was trying to get the top of my page https://www.vancognito.com/van-life-sickness/ to have less white space. I originally didn’t have the title, just a ton of white space. I couldn’t see any reason for it to be that way so I started looking up fixes.
Someone suggested adding this to the css:
.entry-content {
margin-top: 0;
}
.x-header-landmark {
padding: 1.85em 0 0;
}
So I did that, and the whole page https://www.vancognito.com/van-life-sickness/ went crazy.
…so then I un did it. But when I undid it, I got a HUGE featured photo at the top. Then I remembered I had at one point used some css to remove the featured image at the top of posts so I put that back.
So now that post looks fine…off to the homepage issue.
I try going into cornerstone to tweak my home page and cornerstone doesn’t load.
I look at my site on a different browser and it’s completely screwed up.
I assume cornerstone so I deactivate it. No help
Deactivate all plug ins. No help.
I don’t know what is destroying my page other than my own stupidity and I’m losing my mind.
Of course, everything looks great on my site on firefox which is what I normally use, but on all other browsers and devices, my site is all wonky.
Is there a way to go back in time and I promise I will never try to update my site again?
