My Post Was Deleted Which I Replied To - Still Having Issues!

Hi, one of my posts that I made after updating to the new Cornerstone has been removed as I can’t find it anywhere! I dob’t know why this has happened, as I replied back to some help that was given by yourselves. I can’t remember all the issues I listed in my post which is annoying, so I’ll have to just stick to the main one for now which is:

  1. When I view the Home page on an iPad or mobile, the 4 columns with blue backgrounds all merge into one another without any space in between. I’ve added bottom margins to each of them, but it doesn’t make any difference.

I’ve got a maintenance page on at the minute so I’ll put the site details along with the password in a secure note.

Thanks

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in! We do not delete ticket, maybe you’re looking for one of your thread below, which we do replied to.

Regarding your columns issue, please add a Gap element on the bottom of your Columns except the 4th column. Add a class mbl to those Gaps and hide them in extra large, large, and medium screen.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

I’m not being funny, but surely this is a glitch from the updated cornerstone, as I wouldn’t have had to add gaps to the bottom of the columns in the previous version! The margin at the bottom of the columns should be working. Do you know if this is going to be corrected?

Thanks

Hi there,

Are you referring to the 4 columns on your home page? There is no added margin on both desktop and mobile view. But I like to check it directly to see how you added your margin. Your provided credentials in your other threads are no longer valid, please provide the latest one.

Thanks!

Hi, yep, it’s the 4 columns with the blue backgrounds on the Home page! When you viewed it, the margin was added to the bottom of the first column ‘Commercial’ and I put the maximum value of 100px! I’ve attached a screen grab with the mobile view showing the column merging into the one after it even though it has 100px at the bottom added to it!

I’ll put my updated details in a secure note.

Thanks!

Hi there,

According to our developer, the margin control is removed from columns. Maybe it will go away since it shouldn’t be adjusted that way since it’s a grid. But for the meantime, you can go ahead and add this margin-bottom: 100px; to your column’s Inline CSS option under customize section. It should be there once you inspect your column.

Thanks!

Hi, I’ve added the css to the first 3 columns to the Inline CSS margin-bottom: 20px; but nothing happens.

Also, I don’t understand why the developer has said that the margin control is removed from columns, when there is still a margin option for the columns! I’m getting confused by it to be honest!

Cheers

Hi There,

The option will be removed on the next release.

Your margin-bottom: 20px; does work, I can see it, please clean your browser cache and test it again.

Thank you!

Hi, I checked it in a different browser and the margins are now there! It’s weird because I cleared my cache and checked before I messaged yourselves - maybe this is another glitch from the recent update?

It’s a shame the margin is being removed because that would have been quite handy if it worked!

Thanks!

Glad to hear it’s sorted and thanks for your feedback. We’ve added this as a feature request so it can be taken into consideration for future development

Cheers!
