My OnePager is not working

Hello!,
something with my OnePager is not working properly. It’s probably just a little thing.

When I switch between menu items, I don’t always get to the right place. See screenshot attached.
The site is still under construction. Therefore, the content is sometimes double.

Hello,
the problem now arises with all OnePager that I have built. I updated Pro on all pages. For example:

The menu items do not scroll to the correct place.

Hello,
it is definitely due to the update to Pro 3.2.3. I just looked at a OnePager before the update. Everything worked wonderfully. Then I made an update to Pro 3.2.3. After that, the OnePager no longer works.

Hey Thomas,

Please remove your custom JS that is related to hash scrolling. It’s in Theme Options > JS.

Before we investigate an issue, we first need to know if the issue is really with our products and not caused by third-party factors such as plugins and custom codes. With that said, you can verify that by doing the following basic troubleshooting steps.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/docs/version-compatibility. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/docs/product-updates for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching or optimization plugins, clear all caches then temporarily deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins. Please then clear your browser’s cache.

  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  4. If you’re using a child theme, switch to the parent theme.

  5. If you have custom CSS and Javascript codes anywhere in your site, please temporarily remove all of them. Same as the plugin conflict test, restore blocks of related code one by one.

Thanks.

Hello,
I have followed all of your steps. The OnePager no longer works on all sides. That certainly depends on the update to Pro 2.3.2. I tested it. The following is very interesting:
The OnePager can scroll down on all pages comes to the right places. If the OnePager has to scroll up again, it no longer ends up in the right place. But again, it happened on all pages after the update to Pro 2.3.2. I’m absolutely sure with this.

Best regards Thomas

Hi there,
here is a page where I have not yet updated to Pro 2.3.2. Everything works perfectly. Try it yourself. Update to version 2.3.2. You will see that the OnePager will not work after that.

Hello,

it is definitely due to the Pro Update to version 3.2.3. I have now imported version 3.1.2 again and everything works.

Greetings Thomas

Hey @riwaro,

Thanks for the updates. I have checked enhancement and issue tracker lists, this issue has been resolved in X 7.2.3 or Pro 3.2.3.

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

If things still aren’t working, can you please set up a staging site where we can test the new updates. I would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed the update in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:

Please let us know if this works out for you.

Hi there,

I have now built a staging site. I have cleared all cache. I also tested the site in private mode in Firefox. After the update to 3.2.3 I tested the page with different browsers. Unfortunately the page does not work properly after the Pro update to 2.3.2.

The OnePager on this page works perfectly

This site uses Pro 3.1.2

The OnePager on this page does not work after the update

This site uses Pro 3.2.3

If I import version 3.1.2 here, everything works very well again. If you don’t believe me, please try the staging page itself.

Best regards Thomas

Hello Thomas,

We have tested the latest version and we could not replicate the issue. When you test your site, we noticed that only the “Chancellery” is not working. There might be something on the section or on the page. Kindly provide us access to your staging site so that we can check your settings and investigate further. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Regards.

Hey Thomas,

Though Ruenel said they could not replicate the issue, I did, using Pro 3.2.3. I confirm that the offset is working at first but the header offset fails on the second try. With that said, I’ll forward this returning bug to our development team.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.

Please stay tuned for the next update.

Hello,
the problem is not only with this site. About 10-15 other OnePagers no longer work after the update to 3.2.3.

Best regards Thomas

Hello @riwaro,

Our developers were already working on this issue.
Once they’ll fix this, an update release will be rolled out soon.

Please bear with us.

Thank you very much

Thomas
