I checked my settings (they were correct) and added the info found on Full Width header but it didn’t affect anything. The menu was all the way to the right with a 35px margin to the right and the logo was all the way to the left. This was the same for both the header and footer. I have tried to add max-width etc but nothing is working, Is there something I am missing in the css.

It seems that the issue is only with the Header and that might be due to a few custom CSS codes, I would suggest you remove the marked code in the below-given screenshot to get rid of the issue.
If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
