Multiple Templates for Custom Post Types

Hi guys!
How is the best way to go about Multiple Templates for Custom Type Posts? I have ‘parent’ posts and ‘child’ posts that I want to have two separate templates. I’ve been searching around but I’m new to CTP and can’t seem to figure it out. I did create one new template that works but can’t figure out multiple templates!
