Multiple archive layouts

I have created an archive layout and set its assignment condition to “Blog is being Viewed”. Then, I created a blank WordPress page and in the Reading settings, I set the Posts page to the new blank page. All of the posts from the Archive layout display properly and clicking on any post displays my Cornerstone custom Single Post layouts. So far, so good.

Next I created a Custom Post Type. I need to create Cornerstone Archive, and Single post layouts, to display the Custom Post Type posts. Since there is no option to assign an Archive layout to a specific page, I cannot figure out how to display my Custom Post Type posts and Custom Single posts??

Hey @mcaravaglia,

Thanks for reaching out!

You can create an Archive and Single Layout for your custom post type. In your archive and single layout, the condition should be set to post type is the name for your custom post type.

See my example below:

Hope that helps.

It helps greatly (I think). What I don’t understand is how the Archive layout is viewed if it isn’t assigned to a page and has no permalink?

Hey @mcaravaglia,

Let’s say my single post for the CPT is youwebsite.com/aircraft/test-aircraft/, the archive layout will be viewable on this link youwebsite.com/aircraft/. Just make sure that the CPT has the archive option set.

Hope that helps.
