Multi-question post (general, flex, button & text styling, pro header)

Hello

First, really nice product. Developing a site with X theme now for first time and i’m digging it! The URL is clsitetest.online.

I’ve stumbled upon a few problems and I couldn’t find any previous posts about it. They are as follows…

  1. Several time now there’s been situations where I’ve been changing settings in the pro menu and I couldn’t see any effects take change. Tried clearing cache and it didn’t work. I have latest updates from what I can see. Any experience with this problem?

  2. I have yet to see any Flex layout options. Is something wrong with my version of x pro or something?

  3. Can’t make sharp corners on my buttons. Tried it both as a setting and as css code. Nothing happened but other codes changed the button.

  4. How do I change the leading on the buttons? Both between primary and secondary text, and for solely primary text.

  5. How do I make the text object not become wider than 60 characters? I’d also want the leading to increase/decrease as the text rows increase/decrease.

  6. In pro header I can’t see my navigation dropdown when I add it to my container. Tried every setting in the element inspector for the navigation dropdown. Nothing happens. Same thing when I tried to make the header area bigger.

Thank you!

All the best,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for writing in, 1) Most of the time caching has something to do with that issue, please make sure you clear all your caching plugins and features.

  1. In the Header and Footer builder, you will see the Flexbox option on the Bar and Container, and some other applicable elements line the Inline navigation.

In the Content Builder, you will see the Flexbox option in the Rows and Columns

Row setup

Column setup

If you don’t see these options on your end, please enable the Advance Mode

  1. Please inspect your button element, and set the Border Radius to 0
  1. Not sure what do you mean leading but if you mean the space between the primary and secondary text, please adjust the Spacing option. Again please enable the Advance Mode option, If you don’t see these options on your end.
  1. You can apply a max-width to your text so it does not go pass the set max-width.

  1. Please inspect your Bar and make sure the Content Scrolling option is turned Off.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Hey Friech,

Thank you for your help! Turing on Advanced Options solved quite a few of the problems. However the following ones persists.

  1. I’ve seen the max width function, however I’m curious to know if there’s a way to set the max width to a certain character number on the row.
Also if there’s a way to control the leading (space between the rows) more in detail. I know I can change the general setting, but if the row is at the max width I won’t want the leading to be the same as if the row is at its minimum width.

  2. Content scrolling is turned off but I still can’t see anything happening.

Once again – thanks!

Best,
Chris

Hello Chris,

5.) The row element has it’s own maximum width settings as well. You will need to turn off the Global Container option first and then set the maximum width. See the image below:

6.) Please check your container settings or the width of your dropdown element. If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:

Hello,

Thank you for helping me with question 5. The only one left is 6. I still can’t make it work. You’ll find my info in the secure note below.

Best,
Chris

Hello Chris,

I have logged in and checked your site. It turns out that you have rename the pro folder into X-pro. This will affect the builder and the elements in it. I went ahead and corrected the issue by reinstalling your Pro theme. It is fixed now.

Please edit your header again.

Thank you SO much! Much appreciated and the support team rocks :raised_hands:

You are most welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
